Before inserting the suppository dip the tip into water. If the suppository is too soft to insert, chill in the refrigerator for 30mins. Lie down on your side and raise the knee resting on top toward your chest. Insert the suppository 1 inch into the rectum and hold it there for a few moments. Remain flat for 15-20 minutes before resuming normal activity.
